Public schools are run by the Halton District School Board. M.M. Robinson High School offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, and Dr. Frank J. Hayden Secondary School serves the newer Alton Village area. McMaster University in Hamilton is a short drive away.

Getting around
GO Lakeshore West line from Burlington, Appleby and Aldershot stations to Union Station, plus the QEW and Highways 403 and 407.
